Waiting

Busyness, productivity, striving.

A servant leader can get caught up in this, in the manufactured way of how our world works.

But idle does come.

And unresolved grief finds some purchase, refuses to be ignored, catches up to the soul.

Awareness is meant to disturb, to call out, to grab attention; to feel the outlines, to explore the depths.

Healing is to sit and grieve, to have wounds bound, to bring peace to the soul.

And, God comforts.

Idle is the place, the refiners fire, the clearing of dross, the admission of clay.

The fog, the uncertainty, it seeps deeply within.

Following His voice, listening intently for His grace.

There is a new reality, it hasn’t taken shape yet.

The rest is good.
